#Social Media webpages have become the future of communicating with family/friends/assoiciates and have become very popular within the past couple of years. I was never one to join the bandwagon and join these sights, however it is very effective in assisting me with keeping in touch with people "I want to" keep in touch with. The way I see it, it is a great reinforcement of the phrase "I" keep in touch." It actually helps. I'm keeping in touch with my friends from back home in #Matteson, with my friend in Oregon [www.facebook.com/howardkang] to my buddy on the other side of the country in Punta Gorda, FLO-RIDA [@WillAlonso]. I guess the point I'm getting to is that I'm starting to get addicted to these kids of websites. From what I can remember back in 6th grade were people joining Tagged. I never joined, it took me forever to join MySpace (horrible). This is the general trend, that I can remember in terms of my knowledge of social networking sites.
#Tagged>#Xanga>#Youtube>#MySpace>#Facebook>#Twitter
-Just from what I remember what was popular in high school back in the day!
Here's how many there are after doings some browsing around.
I recently just joined twitter and I'm digging it. I mean it was confusing with the "@-replies", the d-m's (direct messages), RT (RE-tweets), tweets from twits, #hashtags, and people following me and me following them: weird, eh? Yeah, it's not too bad! However, quoting @ConanOBrian, there will come a day when all the top three social media sites (Youtube, Facebook, & Twitter) will combine to form the ultimate website: youtwitface.com! .......follow me[@justinbournes]!
